Passport Information

Before you apply for a US passport, you’ll need to get all your documents in order before you start. You will need proof of US citizenship, two photos, a personal check or money order for any govt. application fees, and your application form.

Your proof of US citizenship is your birth certificate or naturalization papers. If you have changed your name since birth, you will need proof of the name change which could either be a marriage license or court order.

Both birth certificates and marriage licenses need to be official copies, not unofficial photocopies. They need to be issued by the state, county or city in which you were born. Hospital-issued birth certificates are not accepted.

Proof of Departure (Rush or Emergency Processing)

An acceptable form of Proof of Departure (such as an airline ticket or an original itinerary) will be needed for rush and emergency processing. This document must indicate travel to an international destination.

The only acceptable forms of proof of departure are an international air itinerary, a photocopy of an international air or cruise ticket, or a letter from your employer stating you need a passport for imminent international business travel.

Without a scheduled itinerary or documented travel plans, we are unable, due to government regulations, to secure rush processing in less than 2 weeks. You can easily plan your travels with many of the online booking agencies. Once you have your itinerary for international travel, we can process your order.
